I may be alone in it but i think a league would be better if it was more do or die. Using 4 games each day you could finish last in 3 and win 1 and make a big impact. Whereas if you extended the time it is run over and have like 1 meaningful game a week it really puts the emphasis on having to perform in that tourney.
Using a sports analogy you have leagues like the MLB, NHL and NBA where individual wins/losses arent that important because of the length of the season, whereas the NFL with a 16 game season every game is important and means alot. I just think a league would be held in higher regard and more anticipated if it was ran in a way where every tourney was really important towards the final standings meaning it would be less tournies.

Zab, what about starting with a standard mode, so u can do changes as u feel they r needed, make it a simple way at the biginning, it will be less work for u and easier for players to get used to it, u can start with a simple individual players' league running two times per week (saturday and sunday would be the more appropriate i think), and as u feel it is ok u can turn it into a teams league or something like that........i think the whole leagues idea(whatever if individual or teams format) will make users be more loyal to PO, keeping them always coming back as they assume a commitment with the games...........

Ya but, how do you pick WHICH game? How do you get it so your team mates can join if they can only play the early games or late..
Maybe we do it so ONLY your first game of the day counts"And Shepherds we shall be. For thee, my Lord, for thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand. Our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be.

yeah..thats an great idea.
i was also wondering bout this thing i noticed in this other sites that run leagues, i noticed that for many players it is a problem to get into a team and many even dont like to play in teams(as is known that most poker players are lonely wolfs..lol ) , so, i think, it would be a clever thing to allow individual players to score in leagues, and, as they get used to it, they can then choose if they want to keep playing alone or join a team. I saw many good players trying to start a team and giving up after a while.....thats a good point to consider too......

We could add Lone Wolf Teams.. The problem for that is (And thats your problem!) is that if you don't play one day, it screws you
