Spam Managers

So, I can set it up where I can allow other users to "manage spam"

That is, I can make it so they can give infractions to people, warnings etc. Which essentially means they can ban them from the forum.

They can also delete threads \ posts


Now, before you say ME ME ME ME.. I am still debating the need for this. I can see some abuse going on here as well, so I need to be very careful who I allow and if I allow this.

You already have that option, lower left below every post... There's a triangle with a ! in the middle of it

How bout you just shut down the chatbox altogether? Then stop giving people points for posts also.

Moderators control the chatbox.. This is for the actual forum.

I think its needed. You got people that just write like, "yeaaaaaaahhhhhh I hate thattttttttttttttt" Just to get 30 characters. I think you also need to raise the character limit. 30 characters isn't going to give a response to something. If they actually want the points, they need to put in some effort. The people that don't really care about the points are the ones putting in the effort, and something needs to be done. Theres people that just write stuff that doesn't even mae sense, and those people should be giving a warning. The next step should be a 1 day ban of posting . 3rd should be one week. And after the 4th infraction should be permanent.

They will generally get a warning the first time, I have not checked my email in a couple days, but I have not been getting any reported posts before that, and i do get them when ppl report posts.
