It is my very strong and considered opinion ZAB, that you do not have your finger on the pulse of this community and what it wants.

Your interest in giving people 2nd chances is NOT what the vast majority of us, your client base, want as far as I can tell. What I feel most of us want is a place where people whom rip us off are booted and never allowed back.

Tell me, who benefits from giving this person (or persons) a second chance?

This is a weird conversation really. There has to be more to the story then some general policy disagreement. What person or persons have been given a second chance? What well known scammers are in our midst and why are you risking our money?

You see the problem I have with the "2nd chance" is that for someone to blow that 2nd chance they will have to rip someone off again! Sure, you may help the first victim or victims recover some of their lost funds, but what about the victims of the "2nd chance"?

I'll tell you how a 2nd chance plays out........ someone comes back and plays by the rules, gains the confidence of the community. They know how they got caught last time, and the time(s) before that on other sites. They refine their scam, then BANG! Someone gets hit BIG.

You can say " if people use the tools that are provided by the site " all you want, but the fact remains that by allowing someone YOU KNOW for a FACT has committed what is essentially a crime to return to the scene and potentially do it again you are in essence aiding and abetting them.

This is a slippery slope Zab.

I have no problems with any of the Mods and they all are doing a tough job. But I think it is a darn shame to let a guy like rivdee leave, since he had such passion for the site, and really wanted to make this a place where honest people could come and feel safe. Wrong or not, the place feels a lot more dirty already without him...
