I guess three times out of ten is not that bad, 4 out of ten is good.

Itm by the numbers
Judging that the typical PO freeroll has on average around 50 players to start with 80 at the high end and 40 players on the low side.
Those players making money or ITM is firmly set at 10 players regardless of entrants. So in order to make money in a freeroll you most likely have to finish at least in the top 20% of the field. In comparison with a typical 10 dollar buy-in online circa 2009 making the money in our freerolls is a little bit easier because of smaller field sizes, longer levels and 2,000 starting chips.
However, the majority of freeroll regulars (Not the fly by nite invaders who constantly barrage our world with bad play but thankfully, short life spans) are solid players who can really provide top notch practice for future foray's into real money wars.
So I think and most of those who have played in dozens of these tourney's would agree that an ITM of 25-30% is a B/B+ with 30% and up an A grade. But I am talking about using at least 50 tourney's as a sample size.

The tourneys are fairly fast which I like the most about them, easier to be ITM if you sit back the first hour and don't play just becausxe blinds are low
