Very nice idea. Some day when I am able to play 7 tourneys per week I hope to take advantage of it. Until then, I can still talk smack all I want and there ain't nobody that will be able to prove me wrong!

I like the idea, but I am afraid it is then nearly only a US player championchip.
Because of the starting times it will be hard for europeans to play 7 tourneys in a week (the second tourney starts at midnight here).
And it is nearly impossible to play every single day of a week (for me).

MAybe 6 tourneys will do the job ???

I think you're right about the top places being heavily weighted. I always get concerned about a multi-variable equation whenever I see a "+" sign next to one of the variables... I hope that you are OK with making changes after a few weeks. We may find that we need to alter how the equation weighs out the number of people entered in the tournament.

Honestly though, this equation will give us a useable number that I think gives a better indication of how our members are against fellow members. In the next few weeks, and after we see the results of some of the tournaments and how that effects the ratings from tournament to tournament, we can revisit it. My brain hurts from trying to think of how we even got this far with the equation!

I look forward to rolling with it. Should be fun!
