New Upgrade ** Off-Site Trading**

What is this?

Off-Site trading is just that, a way for members to RECORD trades that happen away from the site. Now let's be clear, this DOES NOT offer you any protection or payback like loan insurance if you get scammed. This is simply a method for you to KNOW WHO YOU ARE DEALING WITH and record it for others.

What is considered an off-site trade?

An off-site trade is a trade that involved something other than points. If you are trading with someone for points, then you are 1000000% protected so long as you DO NOT RELEASE your points early. For that, please use the Marketplace.

An example would be: Someone is looking to trade a $5 amazon gift card for $4 paypal.

A trade like this would be done in the off-site trading area.

Can I use this for staking?

YES


How does it work?

First, start out by clicking the off-site trade link. You will either be able to start a new trade or continue with a trade already submitted to you by another user.

It's really very simply when you initiate a trade

- Simply input the person's name. After that a COMPLETE background check is displayed for you with that person's relevant information.

*** Either party can request that the other party become verified before the trade goes any further if they haven't already ***

- After you review the information about the other party, you then input the 3 fields.

1) What YOU are trading
2) What THEY are trading to you
3) What the terms are (Paid right away, paid later, if it's a stake, how it works etc) The more details here the better

- If everything went well, you can then complete the deal or dispute it.


What happens if I dispute it?

A field will pop up that only and the Mods can see. Basically you lay out your claim and proof to the situation. You can also include screenshots.. Myself and the Mods will determine who the winner is (If there was enough proof) or declare neither party was at fault.

If we determine that you scammed someone, then you will lose your trading ability until you make the other party whole.. That means no Loan shark, Marketplace or off-site trading.


What if I don't use the off-site trading when I trade?

Then you are own your own. I won't lift a finger to help you if you get scammed. You agreed to these terms with the new warning pop up that everyone will get.

So, if you trade, make sure you use this, otherwise don't complain.

Well if they don't use it, they get no help if they get scammed.

It all seems fair to me. You've given people the tools to use, if they don't use them, it's their loss. Period.

Nicely done Zab, I think this will help alot if used. I like the no trading if they eff up, I think that might finally be incentive to people to stay in line.

Question, you mentioned stake, now idk the final plans for that upgrade as obv they aren't decided yet, by the description you state i should be able to finalize stake agreement in an off site trade, and therefore report as scamming if they default on shipback? The additional threat of losing site privileges can be a good incentive to help ensure stake payback

Correct.. This is something to help "In the mean time" until we can do an entire staking revamp.
