    Forum Spam Elimination

    So what about this idea I just had.

    In an effort to eliminate forum spam, what if I do an upgrade where you DON'T get any posts for posting until you actually earn revenue.. i.e. if you earned 10 points from doing whatever, then you get hit with the cap right away.

    If you earned 0 points, your posts earn you 0 points.

    This would stop people from spamming instantly

    Well its better than having an admin judge posts by their opinion ofwhats spam!!! I got banned for 3 days for just joking about spamming in a post!

    I see reg's saying lol, nice, etc. I do my best to send them a private bubble chat and let them know to post more, but if new players come on and see they can do it, they are going to wonder why they don't get points either.

    I have a better idea. Give users the ability to mark posts as spam and award 1 pt for every post we properly tag as spam, and take 5 points away from the spammer. You gain 4 pts back, we gain 1 pt, and it will be an easy system for getting rid of spam.

    yes but then us Mods or Zab have to decide if what was tagged is really Spam, some players here will tag for spite.
