Extending the Speedway Promotion

So what about this.. sort of like a league game... but with a monthly race track

Same rules apply to the Car, but instead the driver of the car is always the driver and wins the most money

- Driver of the car pays a fee to start up a car (Thus making him the driver)
- Driver of the car can hire his pit crew (He can put up an offer in points to people, you can just say 0 to lets say 1000 points)
- People that offered positions in cars can either choose the BEST OFFER or the BEST CAR that made them an offer (You decide)
- We will show how many times you were ITM the previous month, previous week, how many tournaments you play per week etc.. Alot of info
- We will pay top 3 finishes just like before
- If you make a Car in the middle of the month.... XYZ happens (Where you rank) not sure yet how I'll handle this
- Crew members can quit in the middle of the month (be hired away by another car) your car gets credit until that day though
- Make this a progressive prize pool, probably decrease the other promos slightly to make room for this. Add the drivers entry fee + progressive money


This could get pretty cut throat people hiring, firing, replacing, getting better offers from other cars and so on

1. The person buying the "car" or "stable" will own the horses and can trade, sell, or let any horse go on a "waiver wire"

2. The horses can either "pay" or be "hired/staked" for their position and may be negotiable with the stable owner

3. This could go daily, weekly, monthly, or even an annual or quarterly progressive prize pool

4. Implement LLB's between owners, horses, and even members that are not in a stable at that time (horse betting in a sense)

5. "Trainers" could be considered a Team Leader if they are the most profitable for the stable and you earn that title weekly

I see a lot of points being used through this promotion especially if some sort of sports betting on the horses and/or stables and have a LLB between the stables since you already have this LLB player to player.

I think this would be even more of a hit if it was in a league format similar to the league formats some of us play now. Everyone could pay a certain amount of points to participate while attracting new members that only play in forums with league play.

You could integrate owners, jockeys, and horses,

1. Owners - members that have the roll to operate the stable that does not play much

2. Jockeys - the team leaders or leaders in points (point average per game) that play few games but always cash

3. Horses - the members that can play every game and have nothing to contribute but play games and earn points

Jockeys and Horses could be sold/bought by another owner by PO points or p2p poker room $ this way you can take a rake from all transactions for the progressive prize pools and keep a % for the next prize pool like your other promotions.

In certain league formats, you are able to create and choose your own team and everyone on the site participates but must purchase a ticket for each event or game. You name it what you want, you hire and fire as you like if you are the team owner. This way you are not losing out on any points a player will spend to participate in these promotions. There are also team leaders that also make decisions in who to scout, who to put on the waiver wire, etc. Some league sites have separate leagues, so you really have the option to have one big league or multiple small leagues. You could decide for yourself, take a vote, or do both because I think both formats have been proven effective already, and with the member base you already have, this place would blow up. I know multiple players that would join in a heartbeat and I think every other member that has been here for a year or longer could attest to this. I think you could run the Derby and a Poker Owned League that has the same format mentioned above and you buy your tickets similar to how you purchase them on the site. I know I would be hustling my ass off earn or buy points and I also think it would increase the value of the PO point. Another big thing to decide is whether to play them daily, weekly, or 2, 3, 4, or 5 times a week, etc. My suggestion would be daily since some are only able to play in the evening, so essentially everyone can get their games in, but it will be based on an average. Or you could have games strictly dedicated to these leagues so you can attract more members when they see league play titled in the tournament name in the Carbon lobby, so you are also essentially gaining free advertisement. I would also create Poker Owned shirts for the league champions so players that go to the casino can give you cheap advertisement (maybe give a promo with the most events played with a www.pokerowned.com shirt. There are untapped places out there and your member base could double if we get these additional games rolling. You would just have to create them to where we the players pay for the games so this is not overhead for the site/forum. You could have spring, summer, fall, and summer leagues.

We are there, just need to roll it out and have it coded in your software and create the games. Thanks for thinking outside the box and pushing the envelope on forums, that is what makes this site the best by far, its like the Baskin Robbins of poker forums once this addition is in effect.
