Advertisement Ticker? (A solution)

I am assuming there will be a notification when members log on or another agreement before entering the site?

My current Ticker Specs:


1) You must be a member at least 60 days to post an advertisement
2) All advertisements must be something to do with this site (no offsite stuff, no porn, no referral links) Mods can see all pending Ads, delete + ban users from using this feature
3) If you have your chat \ posting removed or in default on a loan you are not allowed to use this feature
4) All Ads will be live for 60 seconds. They will stack on top of each other in order of payment
5) All Ads will be limited to a set # of characters (Start with 70)
6) All Ads will cost 5 points (We'll keep track of the points, the points will go towards something TBD)
7) You cannot start ANOTHER Ad until you have no pending ads or 5 minutes has gone by


You will no longer be allowed to ask for stakes, promote LLBs, Marketplace etc in the main chat (Use this ticker now)

Were going to limit the number of ads that can be stacked and something will have to be done about time limit as to how many ads can be stacked at once so people arent playing games and bumping someone off the ad's by stacking several ads or something of course.

i really dont like the idea of 60 seconds ads. i think the minimum should be 120 seconds. thats 30 ads per hour 10 points each.this will also give time to screen the upcoming ads.

You can only do 1 at a time... or max 1 every 5 mins..

Ok, for the ticker, I prefer s810s version. You pay for say 15 min of time where your add will cycle through along with whoever else has bought ad time. I don't think a 1 min ticker will help much because it's too short. People won't see it because they were playing a hand in a tourney, decided to go check a thread someone just created, grabbed some food, or take a piss. Charge something like 5 points for 15 min, but give the user the option to have the ad run for as long as they want up to 24 hours.

Hmm.. Then we're cycling ads every minute, 24 hours a day..

I guess I figured if no one had anything to advertise, it would be blank

But you prefer payment options?

5 Points - Your ad rotated for 5 minutes
25 Points - Your ad rotated for 30 minutes
50 Points - Your ad rotated for 1 hour
100 Points - Your Ad rotated for 12 hours
