Umm, depends on a lot of info that you are not providing. What game is this? Cash? MTT? SnG? What's the buy-in? What's the structure? But, all that being not answered... What style of player are you? TaG, LaG, Nit, ATC? More info would help to answer this ?. Thanks, -Cookies
Still no need to play too aggressive in this situation, you have still 41 BB, enough time to wait for good hands
If your are playing Hyper Lag in MTT this is perfect time for aggression. Not too many stacks are going to contend w/ ya... Still tho not enough info from OP to really be able to discuss this. Also, I'm not a Hyper Lag player. ( I wish I was tho ) I understand where ya coming from tho migo
very confusing heading to this post, first I didnīt know what you want.
IM with migo14 41 bb's plenty of time to not worry about being over aggressive with squat. its sad really that online promotes the play of ATC's as that doesnt cut it in LIVE play. its one thing to be aggressive and another to play ATC. Too many watch Final table poker on tv and think thats how it should be played. They dont play like that during early/mid stages of turnys...
Itīs depends of your table...With this chips really you can be agressive...
I like to be aggressive between 15-20 blind and with over 50
depends on the attitude of other players at the table, and your style of play for every hand
i use to call with every ok hand when blinds are 30 and me 1500 so i can just outplay these instead of doubling up with all in and then when the blinds get bigger i play tighter
depends on the attitude of other players at the table, and your style of play for every hand yea yea yea
10 bb is the time to push it up. Position and table read is more important til you hit the money line.
It's not in the poker books, but i played a lot of turbo SnG and they give you a different view of blinds.
Freerolls and micro level games, there is no reason to get aggressive here. At the low levels, conservative play, and then betting big hands for value is almost always the right move. With 41 big blinds, I am waiting on the best of hands and/or position here.
with this amount i would just play your normal game....
well you chip stack and your position is always going to determine how you play a hand even if its aces for example if your early to act usually a smooth call is not a good move cause your sure to get a few limpers and an almost guarantee of a two pair on the flop (so you play fast and big not nessicarily a shove but put their roll on the line as well). And in late position if everyone folds to you a smooth call can be the best option here to make sure 3 to a flush or straight dont show up on the board or even maybe get lucky and pull a set and slow roll em. But position is more basic strategy not so much to do with your bankroll but on short stack bigger hands are usually always push hands and pray. and smaller hands are surefire quick mucks and by smaller hands i mean starting hands like k-10 (it is a weak starting hand especially in the top 50 of a 5000 player tny) so only play larger strting hands aq ak or large pocketpairs 9-9 and higher.
early in a tourney table position isn't as important with pocket pairs. Later I would only play 9s or less if I knew it would be against 1 player. Usually means all in if 5bb or less or fold em in late pos. if its already crowded.
table depends on how it goes, if aggressive play tranqui
no not yet wait till your in a great spot..just like always..
I feel like no one is every really out of a poker tourney if they have 5 or more BB, most people think 10 BB is an all in or fold situation but i feel that you still have more time before all your chips have to go in the middle.
The reason people say 10x BB is all in or fold time because if you're only at 5 times the BB, that's a standard raise...at least with 10x BB you can push more poeple out of pot...
Yea need to consider the number of big blinds your stack is at or you gonna get blinded out.
