I am Thomas, ive been around here for a couple months, but not done this.

Im from East Texas, I currently live in Lousiana.

I started playing poker in early to mid 2005 after watching my boss play Limit holdem on FTP every day for weeks while he was working. I watched him basically win every day and be able to tell me what the villain had almost every time.

Pretty quickly I gave him $100 in cash and he sent me $100 on FTP. Starting off I didn't know if I liked tournaments, or cash, or sngs. so I played around a little bit of all of it. my very first mtt I finished 5th for like $90. I've never been very good at cash games online. Don't know why that is, A lot of it is that I get bored. I've always been a gamer, and MTTs are like a game within a game. I lost $ for the better part of the next year and a half.

In early 2007 I discovered the $4/180s on stars and there were times when I would win 2 of them at a time, take a shot at the Sunday Million and lose, but still had $215 profit. fast forward to may of 2007. My biggest score ever was about $550.

pokerstars was having their 1B hand promotion. They had a $10 tourney with $2500 added. I ended up getting second for $970. In early June, I got out of the air force and went back home. I worked for about a month, and on Sunday July, 9 2007 I played a $11 double shootout to the sunday million, I won it quickly. I unregistered and fired up another, which I quickly won. I decided to play it. In the first hour I hit a flush to put me up to about 14,000 chips and then my internet went out. I called my friend who lived down the street and asked if I could use his computer for the evening. I went over there and managed to chip up quite nicely. cue several hours later, I am still in with 13 left, sitting in 2nd. its folded to the SB who raises, I have JJ, I 3bet. he 4bet shoves I call. he turns over AT and I fistpump. flop is KJ8 turn Q river 2 and I just want to puke! But 13th paid $5,780 and easily the most $ that I had ever had at one time.

2 weeks later I finished 3rd in the $27.50 25k for $3,000
the next week 2nd in the $3 rebuy for $3200
the next week 2nd in $33 10k for $2300.

This is how I got my start in poker.

I could get more into detail, but i dont want to give away my poker status.. and Joining smaller organizations and groups of individual poker players, Makes me feel at home...
