At the most basic level of razz ... yes pairing is bad. At a higher level its not necessarily a bad thing.
I have (2,3) A ... villian has (x,x) 7
4th street now I have (2,3) A 3 ... villian has (x,x) 7 K
4th street a bet there is highly recommended even though you paired. He doesn't know you paired ...one less good card for him with another 3 gone ... also he bricked. He lays his hand down often there ...
it seems a difficult game but its quite easy
