Well, yes, you must acquire chips, but there are different strategies for doing that.
Strategy 101 in freerolls anything goes and the unusual will happen best bet is make sure you got the nuts before going all in!
or u can just go with it, since they have the control of who wins anyways.
Patience is the key.... I agree... you need a little luck on your side.... but it will always come if you wait for it..... and then push and shove when you know you've got the nuts... Those limp ins will suck you out sometimes if you make it easy for them... so use your best judgement too
