i like to play ultra tight during the beginning. once i get to the bubble, i would TRY to bluff conservatively so I could gain more chips. once I get into the bubble, i would play tight and bully short stakes. oh, and be sure to use your position to gain an advantage and bluff to get more chips if you are short staked. be sure to stay above avg stake size and you should be able to profit from sit and go games.
mtt sit and go is different tho. i am not too good at mtt sit and go games, but im trying to find our more on mtt strategy.
Playing sit and go tourneys is not very different than regular tourneys, i mean first of all the starting hands have to be the same, so either in the beginning or when players start to get eliminated, play only the 20 starting hands, and be agressif with these hands that can end up winning the first place
Hi all! I'm a new member on this page and I don't speak English very well. But I try to do my best in the future and I really hope we eill meet in lot of tables in game. I also mean HEADS UP
I play poker about for 1 year but I need more experiance in game. I play somtimes like a stone...I mean I cannot deciede what should I do. If sombody give me some good tips. Iwill be really happy
THx in advance
For me it is very important thing not to bluff if there is loose passive player against you, because you never no which combination he might have!
If you play a Sng non turbo.. please be patient.. the good hands are coming to you with a lot of hands and time to go..the level is weak of playing and wait for the good spots;)
play tigth early let the others take each other out
then when im in the money go for the kill
If you play on Pokerstars you should try grind these 45-man tables, I do it a lot and you earn quite a good money every time you cashed in, the same goes for Full Tilt too.
well play tight and hit them big..... love pocket pairs...
I definitely agree. Let the idiots play themselves out of the game first, then start making moves
i like play heads-up & one table qualification like at FTP , it's easy to build your bankroll :)
play tight as hell then hope that when i do go all in i win
The other factor you are going to need to look into is the structure of SNG you're playing. SNG that start you with more chips and have slowly increasing blinds are going to be more advantageous to skilled player.likewise,if starts you with few chips and has fast blinds it is going to be more luck than skill.
i like to play tight aggressive until the first 3 go out, then tight passive till its down to bubble and then loose aggressive from the bubble onwards as everyone will be trying to stay in so stealing blinds gets easier
i like the style passive in the firsts nivels
agresivoin the seconds nivels and the theere nivelest busted the blings
thas my style in sit and gos
Well apparently I dont have one cause Im always on tilt , I guess I need to come up with one.
IN sit and go I always play tight til the bubble
In a sit and go you need to know when to shift gears . Need to be very skill and need to know who are you playing and lately you can read them very well.
i increase my blinds steal percentage.people are much more tighter in SnGs
My strategy for sit and go is to wait till middle of the tourny to start going up because ppl in the beginning go crazy and go all in with nothing and get lucky
I adapt my strategy to the table itself, like any game. When the blinds are small I like to see a lot of cheap flops, in essence, because if I see a lot of cheap flops in position im going to be able to hit a lot of flops. I cant count how many times i call with hands like 67 suited in position with 4 limpers and end of stacking against two players when i flop two 6s or flop a strong draw like top pair and open ender or pair and a flush draw or gut shot straight flush draw. because its so cheap you can do it many times thats another advantage. when the money is near and the blinds are high thats when decision making is crucial. there are a lot of players who tighten their range so severe i will bet into their blinds with any two cards and i know it has value i win more often then not. then there are the players like myself who value placing in the top three. the players who pick their spots against the right players and keep their stack at an M of 20 of more (M=total sum of pot before any action) loosen their play against the crippled stacks who played tight and made it and accumulate the chips they need for a decent placement at the final table. people tend to play tight thats why loose play wins. its worth keeping your stack above M=20, Dan Harrington is right.
i start with small buy ins usually HU sngs then slowly work my way up using good bankroll management. it works most of the time but then again im broke all the time so maybe im just unlucky lol
well i say play tight and big hands.....
yeha man play tide and wait for the nutz
eyah just sit back and chill
There is no big strategy to win this one.. But keep it cool in the beginning, and earn later the double!
I JUST PLAy my strong hands and normally make the money
the best way i finds to play is, play tight if ya can , theres lots of donkeys out there lol, play the best cards and see what happens
I always try to be aggressive early and steal blinds and create a slight advantage say 2000-2500 (at a 9 player sng starting amount 1500) and then only play with very good hands until I'm in the money. Once I'm in the Money play aggressive again.
The betting procedure goes like this: (1.) Before each player is dealt two down cards, the player at the immediate left of the button, called the "Small Blind" is forced to bet $1 (half the minimum bet). Then the player to his left and two seats to the left of the button, called the"Big Blind", is forced to bet $2. Each player is then dealt a two card hand. Then the player at the left of the big blind is first to act and he must either call the big blind's $2 bet, raise, or fold his hand. Continuing in turn clockwise, all the players around the table either call, raise or fold. When the Typical game table - Holdem poker game betting procedure rules
betting gets back around to the small blind, he or she can fold and lose only the half minimum bet of $1 placed earlier, call the amount necessary to get up to the betting level or raise $2 if there is a raise left. The big blind is then the last to act before any cards are turned up in the middle. The blinds are played in the first round only( 2.) The dealer turns three cards up in the center of the table. This is the "Flop". As always, the player at the left of the button is first to act. There are no more forced bets and the players can all check around if they want to. Bets right after the flop are at the $2 minimum bet level. (3.) Now comes the "Turn" card with more betting that now goes to the $4 level (4.) Finally the last, or "River" card is turned up. The last $4 betting round takes place. The players still in the contest reveal the
I either play tight or super aggresive if others are cause i hate being bubble boy if i double up then i calm down and settle in
i prefer play tight
yea bigger tourament better money 11dollar sng play only aa kk kq k10 all good hand and u do okay
I always plays a tournament very tight on the first hour. Then i´ll become more agressive on the next blinds levels.
just play solid hands ,,,not just because i feel lucky,,,
i don't like this stratgey for a few reasons 1. because bigger stacks tend to call shorter stacks with weaker hands and therefor you will get sucked out more! 2. if you go card dead after the 1st hour your in trouble... 3. i think if your a soild player u wanna see flops early well the blinds are cheap as well this way u can make plays based on how you feel out the table. but thats just me everyone likes to play what works for them!
Hy guys!! In the beggining usually i am tight...As soon the blinds rise i loose my game...
would say it's almost the way I play, but more of a bad beat left me on canvas
option 1: 27-45 players SnG (I like these to be Turbo), if you have $100 in cashier I suggest you play $1 SnG
option 2: 6-10 players double up SnG, this is quite easy ... if $100 in cashier you can try $2 buy-in
