BINGO!
dont put all your poker eggs in one basket- you never know whats going to happen-- black friday was a terrible surprise for lots of people. To this day people still dont have their money--
But with Pokerstars I was able to cash out I think within the week if I remember correctly-
From reading around at different forums I think the consensus is that the "safest" places to have your money right now for US poker players is ACR, BCP and Bovada-
worst ones are Lock, Carbon and Juicy
seems to me that your friends account had something attached to it and may have marked for either cheating or something of verbal abuse. I have never heard of any site not allowing a cash out for a US player. Think there is more to it but just my opinion.
I got my 1st LOCK payout quick and then my other COs took longer
i had a lock cashout for well over 4months. i ended up selling it via p2p for a big loss. gave up on lock after that
just from my experience:
intertops very fast cashouts
pokerhost very fast cashouts
bovada good cashouts
ipoker very fast cashouts
i got a pretty quick carbon cashout, roughly a week and a half. dont know what all the bad mouthing is but seems to work for me
Before I started this site I only knew of Bovada, there payouts used to be 2-3 weeks. I just got one and it took 6 days. This was via check courier. They used to ship the checks from Singapore and now they come from New York.
I really don't get all the posts about sites not paying out. All the sites on Merge, Revolution, and Winning networks all pay, sometimes it can take a long time to process your first withdrawl, but the players that commonly withdraw find that the speculation that their transactions stir up become less common as the staff needs to vette less info each time to process the request. This lack of patience is probably why poker seems more frustrating to the same players who complain about cash-out times.
