I think what you fail to realize, is that you actually played the hand worse. You called 1/3 of your stack off PF with AJ. You are either ahead or behind PF. If you think you are ahead, then get them AI PF. Who really knows what was going on in the villains mind, but perhaps he thought you would fold hands like Qj/KJ/KQ to a shove otf. In my opinion, I would hate this flop given BBs calling range, but I am not checking it back and letting you potentially bluff on the turn. You should have just gotten your short stack in PF and taken the beat. You guys sure do a lot of complaining about how villains played their hands poorly, when you often play just as badly, often in the same hand you're complaining about.
