I hate trying to play pocket Jacks they can be tough on how to raise or what to do when raised against
i JUST FOLD THEM
honestly jj tt 33 66 kk aa its all the same shit....
I agree JJ can be hard to play but if the reads you have on your opponents are decent enough, and you have a decent understanding of how to play winning poker, JJ should be a profitable hand in the long run. Versus a random hand, JJ has ~%77 equity.
Over my relatively small data set of hands I have been dealt JJ 53 times, voluntarily put money into the pot ~%94 of the time, and am winning ~%75 of those times.
Not sure if the other replies are serious or not (I really hope not) but both are pretty wrong...
sorta have a love hate thing going on with JJ. Sometimes they treat me well but most times they do not
Not sure how that is exactly what you said?
TT equity versus random hand is ~%75
33: ~%53
66: ~%63
KK: ~%82
AA: ~%85
Not trying to sound condescending but implying that JJ is equal to every other pocket pair is wrong.
How do you mean that JJ, TT, 33, 66, etc. are all the same shit?
JJ is very tricky to play especially when there is just one over card on the board. That's why I try to play in position and if I get re-raised, I just let them go. KQ is also another difficult hand that requires good hand reads on your opponents.
better than playing 72 that 4 sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I believe that JJ is one of the toughest hands to play in Hold Em. You have to remember that JJ is a premium hand. I would advise that JJ is easier to play if you are in later position at the table rather than early on. There are Other variables that may affect your decision: Tourney or cash game, Your chip stack, Limit or No Limit, number of players at the table, and your table image.

Enjoyed the video immensely.
I like that video, but I will still take pocket jacks every hand. Will take my chances
the way to play jj is all wrong rasing is wrong calling is wrong n folding is wrong lol
thanks for the advice i will use this in the future
What is with pocket jacks.Every time i see them my ballsack shrinks!I fucking hate them..So how come when i get pocket 10s i say to myself, nice.I would like someone to explain to me.....
Folding JJ is not advisable in most circumstances. I find that I'm always going to raise with them... and it is a hand worth a 3bet when necessary. If you're raiser is UTG I'm probably just gonna call with JJ, especially if that player is LAG as I don't wanna shove before I see a flop as most players are going in with AK or AQ and it's a coinflip slightly in my favor. If up against a NIT a 3 bet is essential because if he just flat calls your 3bet you know you're probably ahead if no paint or A hits the flop. If the NIT 4 bets you, you probably should know you're beat...
There are plenty of times late in a tournament where I have folded JJ because I didn't want to risk a heavy portion of my chips (around half or so) or all in when I have plenty of stack to make it deeper into the payout without winning that hand. Hell i've folded QQ before at a final table preflop with 6 people left, guy shoved in and he and I were chip leaders and I didnt need to win that hand to keep dominating so I let him take it, he showed me AKs... I was happy to fold because I didn't wanna get eliminated, had I lost I would have been crippled in chips to nearly nothin, and taken 6th place, instead i patiently waited and ended up taking 1st place for a much larger profit!

I literally LOL when I read this. Focking hilarious. Thank you for the good laugh dk12.
hehe, hate to admit that, but thats true, just dont overvalue any pocket pair until u see a set(or quad) on table, just call bb or small raise with JJ, if Q, K or A shows up on table....TAKE CARE, dont go calling big raises hoping to hit JJJ, keep it low, if u hit it u can then now try to raise and see if there's callers, but u obviously have to keep in mind that someone can be holding QQ, KK or AA and just hit a higher set.......Attachment 1132
ive watched that video before and its so true JJ is a difficult hand to play
Here is what I've heard, that there is around a 50% chance that an Ace, King or Queen will come on the flop. now what do you do,,, hopefully your in position so you get to see whats up and go from there, There is more to my theory but thats a secret. :D
please tell us your secrets about pocket jacks do tell all

JJ are the bermuda triangles of poker !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1221 suicidal cards
i love play jj beter den 10 end lower i dont se point
its easily one of the hardest hands to play
I could not agree more.In fact, I would have written a very similar response earlier if I wasn't so lazy. I think that more often times than not your hand isn't important. Start thinking about what your opponent has, and what your opponent thinks you may have. You have to understand that both of you are telling a story.
just doubled up some1 with JJ. runner runner flush
I usually just make a standard raise with them and then see what comes on the flop. If any over cards come then I assume I'm probably behind and just play cautiously from then on. I don't find them to be much different than any other pair except Kings or Aces.
I love jj give em to me every hand
that is morelike are you deep or not ,are you playing sng or mmt stage of sng or mmt ......
thanks for the advice on Jacks
