I totally agree with you, TT, JJ and QQ are very hard to play. It looks quite strong and that makes them so hard to fold. Lost a lot of hands with those suckers because my ego got in the way.

hard to play, have to lay the hand down sometimes
If you end up losing a lot with them, play them like a smaller pair. No need to get into a big pot when you know you will be 50 50 at best.
It's not that hard to play the Jacks when you have a good read on your opponents. It depends also if you are playing cash or tournament. And It is a tournamet , its really more hard to play them , but you have to know that they are just a pair as 44,55 ,66 .. For example
lets suppose that your opponent raise from midle position in a tournaemnt in the mid game you 3bet him , and now he is 4 betting you. What should you do?Did he really 4bets with hand weaker then JJ ,is he bluffing or makeing a value 4 bet ? To answer this questions , you really need to have some good reads on your opponents
just play them like usual pockets.. if you hit the 3rd it's ok , if not.. fold.
hard to call....but I've won with them more than lose with them
i hate those pockets jacks lol , i most of times loose big with them
Ofcourse its tricky and hard to play someetimes. you definitively should play it in position. But I dont recommend to fold it in early position automatically when you are about average stack. I dont think its even super tight, its just stupid play to fold it. Just make proper raise, maybe little more than normal, like 4-5 BB (to get some informations, if someone call that big raise made from early position, he probably has really good hand, than be carefull on flop) and see whats gonna happen.
Sometimes play like a small pair (Fold if you don't hit set), sometimes play like an overpair (bet if there's not much resistance) -- Really depends on your read on your opponent.
I've won some hands with JJ, but I've lost some big ones (particularly live). I also seem to get BEAT by this hand often, so steamed.
if you're a tourney player, then ICM says JJ is pretty damn strong. You just need to know when to push and when to fold. If you raise and get a couple callers and then 2 overcards come, and you push on, then you pretty much bring your doom to yourself.
