am i reading this wrong, you are complaining about losing with 7 8 o to JJ allin preflop???? You got lucky and flopped str, he got lucky and hit fh, don't call allin with 78o, thats how you avoid it.

This is called a DOWN SWING, you may play perfect poker and get crushed.

So many have asked for advice but the real advice to give in a down swing is TIME OFF.

At the same time so many never listen to good advice, so I hope you do. Take a moment off and save your Bank Roll

he was in Small Blind, I see what you are saying but this was a not a bad beat but a lose.

This is gambler falacy, is just bad luck i guess, that dosent mean Next hand i will have less luck, is just a question of not going tilt and not playing good poker!

MAN... if I had nothing on flop i would fold, but the opponent had less than 3% chance of winning, so It WAS A BAD BEAT !

Calling an All-in, at anytime, with 8-7, preflop, is just wrong.

So, you cant yell bad beat, cause you never belonged in hand, END OF STORY.

If anything, you should just consider yourself lucky that you even had a chance to win the hand. Your complaining saying it was a bad beat because he hit a jack to make full house, but just imagine if it were the other way around and you had JJ and someone with 78os had flopped a straight against you what would you be saying then??? would you consider that a good play or would you be saying the same thing, that you took a bad beat??

I get it, the blinds were high and there was action, but you really had no business in this hand in the first place. He pushed, you had to assume he was ahead, especially with another caller in front of you. So now you are hoping to get lucky against two other people who were likely ahead of you in the first place.

Yeah, not a bright call in the first place. maybe iso if u really wanna play it but not flat n not when theres already a callin in front of u. If ur in a downswing time off isnt the way to beat it tho. The only thing that beats variance is VOLUME, play, play, n play.

n not a bad beat either, a suckout n a resuckout. happens at times.haha.
