yea they banned those bar freerolls out here only can play for fun
they have quite a few poker tourneys here in florida at hooters and other bars!! and most of them are free, and u get extra chips every time u buy a drink! i usually end up pretty shit faced by the end of the night!! but they are fun!!

There are a few cash games around where I am at but the only tourney I know of these days is at a bar. It is basically a freeroll, $5 "donation" to play and a hundred dollar prize pool no matter how many players but there is usually about 30 - 50. Top 3 get paid and usually ends up chopped between the top 2 - 5. I don't play in it often but every now and then I just want that live tournament poker feel. We can't have that here in Ariz. Gambling is only aloud at the casino's Everytime a card room opens they get shut down.

they play here in MN and you can make some ok money but you have to spend 5 hrs with degens too broke to play at casinos or the interwebz or really wierd ppl who are just there so they dont eat a 12 gauge
Yeah bar poker is the worst, at least my experiences from it. I usd to play in one all the time, but the prizes got smaller and smaller. You'd have to play every single day at different locations just to get enough points for a 1k wsop buy-in. Or you get invited to a tournament once a year with ~150-200 players and get first for a 1k wsop seat. They do have a monthly top points getter tournament that you can win a $100 seat to a sattelite wsop in dover, but you have to pay for it yourself then show reciepts then get re-imbursed..and they don't advertise it like that.
