How do you keep people from sharing the Bovada freeroll password when you can't tell if the person bought the ticket or not since it's anonymous?
I haven't been playing them much lately, but I was just thinking about how this could be a problem.

wtf I didnt now ppl shared to password . Why would someonr do this? No added value except cheats value.
This would suck for the players playing but good for the oes that can get this password.
Maybe they don't, but I kind of assumed it happens because I saw a warning somewhere about getting banned if they caught you sharing the password.
I thought Bovada uses tickets and not Passwords to combat this problem?
I always typed in passwords for the PO freerolls the bovada freerolls use tickets.but ya that total BS for some one that busted thier butts scrapping up enough point to play and competing with free loaders.that got in without paying.
Bovada gives mostly tickets in it's other freerolls,I think Po is the only one that opts in,There might be one or two get in but,the field size seems about right.
Yeah - I don't think it's much of a problem because the time is so short between when we get the PW and when it starts. Someone who wanted to share would want to register him/herself first, then would have to share it some way and that would have some (albeit minor) delay associated with it. I think it would be hard to be on the receiving end of the 2nd-hand password and get registered in time.Quote:

They should have some blocker that helps if they username don't match an entry it is deleted
I think they should go to strictly tickets/coupons to avoid password sharing. It is probably sold by the losers that know they won't win money honestly, so they sell the password. I also think they should have two parts of Bovada and make a room for players that do not want to play with anonymous players. They have the traffic though, so they are doing something right.
In the $20 Bovada thread 2 people asked for the password yesterday. I hope no one gave it to them.

I could see how it could happen easily, but for a $20. freeroll its prob not even really worth the time playing it for most people...
There will always be people who share the password its not right but it happens all the time
bovada does issue tickets.. i wonder why PO is not on board
I thought if someone was not linked to PO through opting in that they could not get any payout if they win...

Seems completely pointless to give the passwords away because people in the Bovada tourneys without being PO members can't get paid anyway, from what I've read. So, not only are the people "sharing" passwords screwing everyone by making the odds worse than they need to be, but they are also screwing themselves and wasting the time of those they "shared' the password with...jeez.
like ive stated before it is too much work to give out the password for that low of a prize pool.... itd be allowing a bunch of goond***s to get our freeroll money. might as well let the person sneak in w ur wife sometime.

If someone who is a member is leaking the password to a few players it was would be nearly impossible to stop without phone records ,etc.. thats just the facts?
I remember a few months ago when there was a player in the tourney before the pass was given for about a week straight.
I have read somewhere that if they catch you sharing the bovada password, they'll banned you. This is why they dont have late registration and they only show the password for like 3 minutes.
