How many of you use the notes section on poker clients to keep notes? I do alot espically for cash games....it makes it easier for me to pick a table to sit at.

more interesting thing I would like to know is how you all are going about keeping notes I mainly just take notes on what people go all in with and also how aggressive they tend to be
I also do some notes, if I identify the playing style of an opponent.
i tend to keep stuff in my head tbh very rarely make phisical notes besides doesnt help when most of the people i play tend to be donks LOL
yea, most are donks...but I like to know at least what style of donk im playing and if I've been profitable against them in the past.
I do tag people who r donks
I kept copious notes on Full Tilt because I tended to play the same games over and over again. If you are just putting random comments like DONK, or AGGRESSIVE, I am not sure they will be helpful at other tables (cash vs tourney, high vs low stakes, etc). I would much rather have hand histories and stats than my comments that I have left at any one particular time. The exception to this is people who I play against a lot, such as forum opponents, who I still take frequent notes on.
do you ever make notes and separate them depending on the type of card game?
I usually put notes only on bad players and players to avoid (sharks). I only keep notes on players in cash tables, really no point doing it in tournies, imo.
YES! im getting 5 points!!
o i gotta say more so that i get the points
well here i am talkin talkin talkin
Should but don't,,,, I really don't know what to put ...other than azz lol
I have been using the notes feature ever since I began playing online ... second nature to me. My Stars notes DB was pretty big ... not that it does me any good now.
yea I dont take notes on everyone but I think it helps against peole you run into over and over again so you have something to remind of certain things
I like to make notes when i remember too.
I make notes if they really pissed me off (usually by bankrupting me) and I also make notes on a player I really enjoyed playing with.
I mainly just take notes about a players aggrssion levels and what hands they like to go all in pre-flop with, and which ones they will slow play
I also make notes on what people go all in with and also how aggressive they tend to be . I had a ton of very good notes on Full Tilt but of course there long gone !
I like taking notes on the donks - so when I have a good hand I like taking them out - just as much fun as winning
I think by now everyone knows I have plenty of notes.................. :)
i cep notes for sng end cash games
I use it occasionally, but I don't play for big enough stakes for it to really make that much of a difference.
I dont right alot mostly just DONK and fish tags !!! pretty much gives me a basic idea lol
its really useful..espesially at the final table of a tournament
I always use notes section it eseyer to play.....
i dont care for it...everyday is a new day......people's humor is very instable.......i JUST PLAY POKER.......;)
Well if someone makes very special moves or betting lines I will note it.
Notes are quickly becoming my new best friend in the tourney world. I have to say I believe they are making my play stronger and contribute to my getting better in tournament play.
i prefer pokertracker but notes are useful to assess the play of regulars :) and some bet sizing tells :)
when it comes to playin online, you have to take advantage of every tool available to you to get an edge. Cant read a player like you can live, except for betting styles so keeping notes does have its advantages definitely.
peeps laugh at me by the way i take notes, but i have a note on every player here who i had the pleasure to sit at my table.. huds are better for cash games..but mtt and freerolls take notes, as many as possible..donk or not, or a donk who is hot today..etc
Notes are really good to have. For cash, I put in how they play-hand ranges. For MTTs, i look up their stats and just put that. You can tell a lot from their stats and how they are going to play-what buyin ranges they play and if they are winning players or not.
I have my own sysytem with notes. Playing these type of forum games there more valuable than larger public MTT. Think if you play cash tables those tracking software are a must if looking to make money.
I have notes on half the donks that play on Carbon. Not to mention I ignore about everyone's chat. I can't stand the little pop-up windows that appear every time someone types lol or any other dorky thing
i always kep notes on players esear to play....
it is good to make notes and most of the players to see that hands after playing and what the fish and other
I personally only note ceartain things but I have been considering noting almost every hand played\
