I know of a lot of sharks that love linpin with aces!! Sneaky bastards!
I agree, hand strength isn't as important in this situation as pot odds and implied odds. Obviously chip stack and table image always help, but 6 out of 10 times the price is always right for a limp here.
to me it all depends on my stack if i got it i limp have won several hands that way
Like most have said here, it's situational. There are very few absolute play or don't play hands / scenarios from my limited experience in poker.
It has a lot to do with your own strengths and weaknesses, as well as those of your opponents. If you're playing micro/low stakes, generally these are players who are stronger pre-flop and on the flop than they are in later streets. Give them enough time and they'll make a mistake. In cases like this, the implied odds are sometimes too compelling to pass up with ATC for 1/2 a blind. But if you find yourself unable to fold even after you've hit a flop, you may as well just let rags go.
you will never catch me limping with any rags in the sb.. only premieum hands
