As still mostly a beginner, I have pretty been sticking to full ring and trying to learn ABC poker. Six max has been fun when I've played it, but knowing which additional hands to play is a little harder.

6 max all day....love it espically for MTTs Thats all I used to play but then I migrated back to 9 max again.....80/20 6 max

Depends on the player for me I prefer 6max.
full ring is so slow, so unless it is a juicy game, i wont play. 6 max makes for more hands and more action
6max is more fun, you get more action, play more hands.
I prefer full ring. I,m a live tournament player from Ct. and my style of play and my range is set for a full table, I have played a few 6-max tourneys and its a totally different world, more aggressive , I feel more comfortable at a full table.Quote:

I prefer 6. And honestly I don't know why. I don't really notice any difference in my style of play at either though. Maybe I need to pay more attention...
6 max every time that i have the option to play it. I feel that it is easier to identify players at the table because obviously there are less players at a 6 max table than a full ring table.
6 max because more live cards to make your hand which in turn puts more money into pots because people will be staying in the hands longer to catch there draws and flushes.

Less players to read is exactly why I prefer 6 handed games. It seems whenever I start figuring out people during a multi-table tournament is when I get moved lol...
Six max is really hard for me, i can never tell what epple have.

I guess it depends on how I feel like playing. If I want to keep it super TAG I'll play full ring, but if I want to play a little more loose and see some more action 6max. I like oVITOo's thought
I enjoy playing 6 max for cash games because you get to play a wider range of cards and practice aggressive play with less people sitting behind you.
