FREE Poker Coaching

Hi guys. I'd love to be a poker coach some day and I want to start by getting my feet a little wet. I think there is a lot of good players on this site who love this game and have great potential. I am looking for 3-5 players who play a lot of volume (whether it is multitabling or just single tabling). The most important credential is that you love the game and have a genuine interest in getting better.

I am offering this:

- Watch you play over teamviewer, skype, or join.me and give feedback on your play
- Allow you the opportunity to watch me play through the same methods
- Skype chat to talk about theory
- Help you find your leaks and give you suggestions
- Give you some resources to use
- Be your 1 on 1 mentor and answer any questions you have on hands, strategy, or general poker questions

Things I can teach you:
- Understanding luck vs skill (variance)
- Proper bankroll management
- How to play vs different opponents
- Bet sizing, hand ranging
- Controlling emotion and making rational choices


I don't want to come across as a know it all or as condescending. I think I have a lot to still learn about the game as well, but I have found out through other things that teaching is one of the best ways to learn. I am looking to put at least a few hours into each "student" and I may continue to work with a few of you if it goes well.

Not sure if theres going to be any interest for this at all. I am not offended if no one is interested. If you are interested, post in this forum and I will be choosing 3-5 of you within a week.

I am ALWAYS interested in learning. Want a challenge here ya go, even tho i think you can be abrasive and condescending(maybe not to everyone or all the time LOL or is it just me? LOL) but im willing to go thru what ever to make my online game half of what my live game is. To me is just way too different and im sure the way i play things at times leads to mistakes. Im all ears and rdy to learn, where do i sign up at?

I would like to pay for oaching I contemplated doing so years ago but you wont find one that is good unles you pay like $300+/hr. If you find someone for way less than that like $25/hr your wasting your money becuase the guy sucks 99% of the time.

Ive seen coaches offer their services for upwards of $800+/hr which is insane....If you got that much money to spend it could be worht it if your getting coached by some of the best online players....you will win your money back plus some in no time....

Don't let not having a bankroll prevent you from signing up. I am a FREEROLL GRINDER myself. That is my specialty. I can show you how i won $400 in two months from just freerolls. I can also teach you how to hold on to this money and build with it once you start playing real money games.

When do we start coaching/sharking?

Just had my first coaching with janish last night. We started off by me watching him play a tournament over join.me and I took notes as he played, but did not comment on anything until the end. He ended up playing very well and 80%+ of my notes were positive things. I really like having the opportunity to reinforce what someone is doing right and to let them know they are making good plays, and why. I gave Janish a lot of feedback after the tournament. He then asked me questions on some of the feedback, and then other questions that were a little more off topic, but poker related. I felt like we had a great first session and look forward to working more with him.

Someone asked me if I prefer coaching for MTTs, SNGs, or Cash. Here is my response: I am not very good at sit n gos. I understand basic theories of the game, but it my least prefered. I played exclusively MTTs for 8 years, so I would definitely enjoy coaching that. I have currently been making the transition to cash, where I have been 12-16 tabling the micros. So either cash, mtts, or both are the options.

Many people who have posted in this forum already I want to work with, so If I haven't talked to you yet don't feel excluded! I will let you know either way.

Yes a lot of the shortstack dynamics of MTTs and Sit n Gos are very similar. I really just don't sit n gos and would like to work with students who are playing cash or mtts.

I have already started working with Janish. Have a few more players who posted on this forum that I will be approaching soon. Gonna start off doing one at a time

Damn nice of u yo. Helluvan offer. I advise anyone to take him up on this offer. Sharking n i started here about the same time(i was signed up for awhile just didnt become active til around the time he signed up) n started BS'g a bit. Dude knows the game n understands what it takes to win in these FRs n from what ive seen n talked to w/him could probly do well in the med BI games as well. Another n probly the biggest thing he can help w/is BRM. I wish i had 1/4 of the will to set up a plan n stick to it.

Good Morning Sharkout, Nice of you to offer. I have been looking for a coach for some time. I apply. My biggest flaw is brm and it has been very frustrating for me. I would like to learn to have better understanding of the game and better discipline with brm. Good luck.
