never preflop but as the hand progresses its sometimes necessary, yet extremely frustrating to lay it down
i will never and i said it again i will never fold aces preflop, i have to see the flop before i will fold aces which i have done before
Why would you even make a thread like this?
Ok, so if all 9 people at your table went all in preflop, and i was last to act and i was right on the bubble in a tournament, then yeah i would freakin fold em and show it too
And someone would have a 2 pair or better an it would be awesome

Foldiong AA preflop in Holdem is a donk move nuff said
you can fold AA preflop if it's a satellite
what a great idea...not
anyone who folds AA preflop deserves to get knocked out on the bubble.
Well actually it WAS carbon poker so ya know, it could have been a good move

There are several times when you should fold AA preflop. In those instances, which are very few, it can be the difference from getting paid and getting nothing at all. In cash games, I will NEVER fold AA preflop. Early in tournaments, I will NEVER fold AA preflop. If I am short stacked at any point of a tournament, I will NEVER fold AA preflop. I will fold AA preflop if....
I am assured to be in the money and a big stack goes all in preflop and gets 2 people to call. After this hand, I will definently be in the money. I fold, show my hand, and I'll catch up later (hopefully). If I'm in a satellite and guaranteed to get paid, I'm folding AA to any bigger hand than mine (this is the final stage of the tournament though). If I can take out an opponent who has a very few chips left, then obviously I'm calling. If there are 10 satellite tickets and only 12 people are paid, and I'm in 4th, and the #1 guy goes all in with 2 caller, I will probably fold. No reason to waste that much time without getting something.
I have never folded aces preflop in a tourny...I have a few times cash games because i was not willing to run the risk with the stack i had in front of me
I dont think i never folded Aces preflop either, during these 8 years.. might been when sitting out, but thats the only time :D
to fold aces with 5bbs left, and having blinds coming to u.. u can only pray that u will survive the bubble.. and then u only going for the small cash and not for first ;)
Yeah..it poker!!! :P
this thread is old. it is part of the game. it happens more than people think. hell ive done it and so has alot of other players
Thank you!!
folding AA preflop very hard for me to do lol,i cant do it lolz!
Why fold preflop when you know you have best hand?
LoL... yeah it funny ;)
I never fold AA preflop if some1 shoves in front of me it's do or die the more the merrier. love being the bb and 2 people shove in front that both have me almost covered. i'd rather have 5 cards coming with no in between betting than to have some1 call a raise with marginal hands that might be foldable if i shove and make two pair or a better hand on the flop. but the example hands a no brainer wouldn't have played it to the river myself.
I can't imaging folding AA in that situation pre-flop. It just makes no sense.
Guy might've been taking a whack at the pipe before he did that.
man oh man AA in an instat shove if your shortstack
in fact i will risk it even if im chip leader and 2nd chip leader shoved 1st
play to win the game
you dont make much playing for minner placeings
on online poker AA is beaten very often just due to the number of hands dealt largely! But ive never folded it im always ready to get it in preflop depending on the circumstances
That has to be the most utterly stupid move... its like going for it on 4th down with two yards to go knowing full well your defense is capable to stop the opposition, Bill Billecheck(sp?) **CAUGH CAUGH **
AA KK QQ short stacked like that is a no brainer shove... and to bubble like that... Must not give a toss about it!
If I ever fold AA preflop under any circumstances, well maybe if I was ITM already to win satellite, time to quit. Best preflop hand. I have a hard time folding pocket 8's through A's online. With the loosey goosey play. :)

I screwed up - only bet 3bb with pocket Aces. Opp called with K6. Of course, opp hits set. I was so mad @ myself for not shoving pre-flop. lol
i would fold if there was alot of people in preflop
i can never fold rockets preflop
Lately when I got a nice chip stack in freerolls I have been having trips cracked by runner runner cards, usually against smaller stacks and then I tend to cool down and start a downward spiral any tips for minimizing my losses when that happens(I just assumed it happens sometimes and you just gotta play through it
Oh and on the topic of this thread usually 2-3 handed I dont fold them and take my licks generally but if their is like 5-6 players pushing I usually back off(depending on the circumstances)
i dont play to tray to cash i tray to win
