What Do you think pays off more in the long run, Checking or Betting on the river holding the nuts
depends on villain 100%
betting seems like checking never works for me
on the river u have to bet unless u think villians going to bluff however ima betting fool
might bet like 2/3 pot to induce a raise if he/she folds check probably wouldn't have worked anyway.
1/2 pot bet usually works fine for me. Checking is the worst thing to do
bet everything online!!! You cant slo play shit online!!!!!
I always check, especially if the flop is rainbow. I want them to hit so I can crush them on the turn or river - A lot of players, especially some of the trash ones here at PokerOwned love to overaggress every single pot.
Checking the nuts works especially well in the Sit n Go Double Ups because everyone panics when their chips drop below 1400 and try to steal more often than not.
The lower the stakes your playing, the better idea it is (generally speaking) to bet your hands. But every hand has variable. If there are a lot of players in the hand or you are new to the table I would probably bet it as well.
I'll usually check unless there's a draw on the board.
Yeah I agree more playing tight can get you run over by the table.
It depends completely on your table. If you have some aggros, especially if they were on a draw and missed, either check or bet small. If it's a tight table, bet the amount you think they'll call - enough to get some value, but low enough that they'll say "I'm probably beat, but for that amount I'll look him up"
It depends on a lot of factors. The line you have been playing, did you flop the nuts or did you river it? Have you and the villain checked it down to the river or has there been a lot of action. Is the river a potential cooler for the villain? What is the villains image and what is your image? What are your EVs? How much information do you have on the villain in terms of his current hand and how he plays other hands? Just a lot of poker involved in this question in terms of trying to maximize value
If I had to go for a straight answer though, in the long run online you're likely to get more from a well-sized bet over checking unless you are playing with a lot of more experienced players who will think on 1 or 2 levels above the average joe on the internet. At that point, it's a different game in my opinion.
All depends on my position. No one calls or raises before me i calls before me i check and hope so one else raises then i ride it out and slam the door on the river
yea ur suppost to check with no draw on the board!
Only problem is they always hit runner runner on me!
well depends on players and poker software if someone is betting and u where just calling then check see if they will bet again
It really depends
in a real tournament if you know for sure you have the nuts if you check the river card you will lose because its a rule that you have to bet the nuts
Unless they're a really aggressive player I would just bet it. I make enough c-bets and steals that my value bets are moderately disguised.
