I started playing poker online at Fulltilt and Pokerstars during the sam emonth back in '08 i believe it was. Im glad I cashed out on FT prior to it being shut down (funds frozen)
The first site i played on was pokerstars 2002
My first was Pokerstars back in middle school at a friend's house with some of my other middle school-aged friends.
My first poker room was something like "3am.com" it was like pogo or yahoo games, they had a bunch of different games to play and one of them was a pretty good poker room where you could play some crazy variations of poker. Triple draw, pineapple, cincinatti, F*** your neighbor etc. but mostly 5 card draw and 7 card stud before texas hold em got repopularized. But that was all for fun chips.
My first money room was Bugsy's Club which I believed later became Brunson's room, and later became a Cake poker room.
my first poker site was paradise poker.
The first online poker ever played was on IRC. It was text based, no graphics....and people played by reputation and mailed each other money.
My first poker site was pokerroom. It was right up there for awhile. Tough to stay on top in a cutthroat business.
Intertops just came out with a no download less than a month ago. I used to have 4 other no download rooms during the good old days when I wanted to play poker on other peoples machines without downloading. Just open their browser and go.Quote:

Planet poker in late 1999 early 2000. I was able to deposit with paypal. Wonder what ever happened to them. I remember I found partypoker and them the boom hit.
Great thread, brings back a lot of memories, if I recall correctly, most sites had a free area and a pay area. I believe I was on a couple of sites in the free area as far back as 10-11 years ago, but my first deposit was at FTP. Didn't get burned, but too bad such a scuzzy end to what I thought was a great site at the time.
Yeah I played on Planet Poker a short bit when it first came online. Wow, if you guys could see a reenactment I am sure you would wonder how we all could stand such a caveman poker existence. Also, it was only LHE cash at first, no tournaments.Quote:

I think my very first online poker site was Party Poker...they seem to have been around the longest.
