You have to allow all that extra bundled software with it.
I recommend using Sandboxie for downloads.
Sandboxie runs your programs in an isolated space which prevents them from making permanent changes to other programs and data in your computer.
That extra software is not a virus.
Although annoying, it is adware. If you want the points for the download, you have to allow it.
For some of these extras, if you didn't use sandboxie, you will have to go to " about:config" in your browser and remove the program. For search engine changes, you will have to remove it from the list of search engines by choosing "Manage Search Engines" from the drop down menu on the mini search box in your browser Navigation bar.
