Anyone know if I were to run two merge clients (Hero Poker and Carbon Poker) using two computers, if that violates any terms. Obviously, it's not to cheat. I want to play the carbon freerolls for PO, but there's also a tournament I want to play on Hero and that's where my bankroll is.
Will both puters be using the same IP address? If so I don't think it'll let you and if they (Merge) find out, you may be banned from all Merge sites...
You can use Sandboxie. That is what I use and I never have any problems.
I had a friend that used the sandbox app and everything worked out fine, in fact several people i know use it but i also know of 1 person that was caught some how and was banned from Merge for life, so just be awares that it could cause some issues, might not so the risk is up to you
I already think about that, but never did because I'm pretty sure that this will break their rules. If I was you, I wouldn't do that.
I'll check that sandbox app soon. Well, I did it already. I used my desktop to log onto PO private freeroll, and was on Hero playing a regular tournament. I don't know why same ip address matters as long as i'm not trying to play the same games with myself to cheat. If I'm banned, I'm banned. Just wanted to know if anyone had a clear answer.
Give me a break. No wait, I got this free roll I just gotta play in. I dont care if they ban me, its a FR. Nothin good can come from that.

i have been using sandboxie to run multiple skins...haven't had any issues but prob should lay off. wouldnt want to get banned and have my bankroll stuck on the site
can someone give me a link to "sandboxie" and it lets u run multiple merge sites?
yea ive always wanted to run multiple merge clients becuz i have like 3 with money on them . i wouldnt cheat just use all 3 Br's
i really wish u could run multiple clients :( then i could give myself my $ from all merge sites and have it on carbon.
Only be able to if you have 2 computers or separate your ip or browser.
Since lots of people do this or are about to do this, post here asap if one of you gets banned, lol.

If someone wants to copy and paste it here, that would be awesome. I've been reading Dave's two plus two threads though, and I did bump into it. Not sure if it's because of security, and he didn't mention cheating, so I'm gonna take it as you're supposed to not do it in general. It's not as vague to me now, so I've decided to not do it anymore. I know for those who do it already, this isn't 100% concrete, but hopefully this is enough info to encourage people to stop it too. If there are conflicted games, prioritize and hopefully you still can play both, but be a little late to one. Remember that being late with a small stack, you still got a chance. Heck, it might've saved you from a crushing suckout, so it's still ok :)

Sandboxie definitely works....I use it myself...u just can't play the same tourney on both sites...
yeah it would work but might end up in a permanent ban.....
You can play the carbon freerolls on hero cant you? All the merge sites have the same tourneys and ring games so you shouldnt need both skins up
no only ce rt ain open tourneys are the same on merge, BUT the private ones are specific to t he site,, so u cant PLAY forum ones here thru her o,, and there are tourneys on hero u cant play anywhere el se either")
i dont think they (merge) will like that..
my Boyfriend and I use the same IP for our own laptops and can log into Carbon and play ...just can't play the same things at same time
and we are logged into our separate accounts , of course
hard keep track whch is merge or not.. lol.. to many!
I think if it's obvious there are different people playing from the same IP, it's okay, but the same person playing multiple clients, it's not. I don't know what the difference is. Maybe to prevent people from getting ideas, lol. I just know I haven't multi-cliented after reading your responses. When merge customer service is a little less busy, I'll shoot them an email. I think my last email just got lost in the muck.
