Recently I came across an offer from a poker room that I had never heard of called Poker770. They were giving away $100 free staking money to former Full Tilt players who made the move to their poker room. I applied for the stake and here is my experience:
- I was promised a response within 48 hours, after 3 days I had still not heard back from the promotions department.
- I mailed support, who 1 day later told me that the offer was no longer valid (kind of like those great electronics sale items that you go to pick up, but the store is sold out, but it just so happens they have a slightly more expensive model....)
- Noticed many grammar and spelling errors which does not inspire confidence. For example, tournament lobbies boldly state "Tournament begins on 10 minutes"
- Poker770 offered me $7.70 in the poker room and another $10.00 in the casino. After looking around a bit more I said, "thanks, but no thanks"
In short, this rinky dink shoestring chickenwire operation is not worth your time. With all the choices in online poker, there is no reason to choose a poker room with confusing promotions, spelling and grammar errors, and generally poor customer service. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
