Try redownloading the Carbon software?
Probably either a glitch or some kind of bug maybe. I would think uninstalling and then reinstalling it should work being it as long as your user name and pw are correct. Good luck. *hugs*

happens to me sometimes i just go to task manager and close client.exe then it works fine
It happens to me once a month, sometime its a shut down and restart computer to make it work

That's happened to me too. I had to reinstall it. It probably had something to do with a bug that the fun step 1's weren't working for me. I e-mailed them and said it was a glitch. Oh well. But also, sometimes they're just working on the site so they just close it. That happened recently.

just uninstall carbon and reinstall it probable u were doing an update and it didnt update fully so now cannot start up or else temporary problem frm their server whch is rare. if after uninstall and reinstall it still dont work maybe they dont want u to play for sometime u go take break.
