    Using Sandboxie for Safe Downloading

    Sandboxie Basics

You can read all the guides, but as Pray4Spades puts it: I got a sandboxie guide: right click > run sandboxed > right click > default box > delete contents.

    And another good guide: http://www.techsupportalert.com/cont...e.htm#settings

Protection from rogue software, spyware and malware is just a click away...

I have gone through and emailed all the offerwalls in an attempt to make sure this was ok with them. The Offerwalls all said pretty much the same thing. They were fine with the use of Sandboxie in order to give the users the peace of mind their offers were clean of any viruses!

Use this link to download Sandboxie.

    Sandboxie Overview

    What is Sandboxie?

What exactly is Sandboxie and how does it help me? Here is the answer to your question. Sandboxie runs your programs in an isolated space which prevents them from making permanent changes to other programs and data in your computer.

Think of it as a box with its top lid open. **** can travel through the lid but can't get through the box as it's shut at the bottom. So if you're browsing the net and you stumble upon a website with a virus, the virus is contained in the sandbox and can't escape to your system unless you allow it to.

    How to use

    1. Run Sandboxie

    2. On the menu bar, click "Sandbox".

    3. A drop box will prompt. Highlight "Defaultbox" and then select "Sandbox Settings".

    4. Navigate to "Appearance", be sure that everything is unchecked.

    5. Now navigate to "Delete" and select "Delete Invocation" in the tree pane.

    6. Check the box next to "Automatically delete contents of sandbox"

    7. In the tree panel, find and select "Applications".

    8. From there, select "Web Browser" in the tree pane and then your browser. In my case, Firefox.

    9. Check the boxes that I have in my screenshot. This will allow the browser to save cookies, history, add-ons etc.

    10. Apply the settings and you're finished.

    11. RUN AND PLAY THE GAME \ SOFTWARE!!!

Please note: Programs ran in the sandbox will have a "[#]" symbol before their name. Run the [Defaultbox] firefox/chrome shortcut for the use of a sandboxed browser. Use this browser shortcut from now on.

Need to delete a program (We recommend actually using the software and playing the games you downloaded with 100% assurance your PC is SAFE)

Step 1: In your start menu, right click on the Sandboxie Icon which is located in your Task Bar

Step 2: After you close browser, the uninstall should be completed

Tips specific to a browser: Internet Explorer Tips and Firefox Tips.

Use the Add Shortcut Icons button to create shortcuts to run your programs sandboxed.

Identify sandboxed windows and programs using the File Menu -> Is Window Sandboxed? command.

    For Registered Users:

Force Programs, such as your Web browser, to always run sandboxed.

Disable Forced Programs when you need to run a "forced" program not under the supervision of Sandboxie.

Create more sandboxes for better isolation of separate programs.

"And Shepherds we shall be. For thee, my Lord, for thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand. Our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be.
