Well, I reckon I can send this to our state senators, but collectively they have an IQ summing to lower than body temperature, so I doublt it will help
It could still be a while before legislation is passed. After the government shutdown and maybe another one on the way, poker is probably not at the top of the list.
Cool posting, I would be interested to see some of the other states as well.
Interesting, I bet Illinois would actually gain more than the projected though, seeing as casinos are banned in Chicago
I would venture to say that those projections are going to turn out to be overly optimistic.
Propose a business plan for your state...then send it to your local city counselor, then to your the Senate, who then can pass it on to the House...then we can go from there. All states will eventually have legal gambling...the gov't is just trying to figure out how they can get their little rake backs.
The projections appear to be skewed some. Let me get my bankroll calculator out.
I live in the very southern tip of IL and within 30 miles of a casino. There were probably over 200 big buses in a day 10 years ago. Now I would estimate about 25 a day. I am one of those who stay home and gamble online mostly. I think IL will pass online gambling within the next few years.
In MN where I live we have Injun casinos and card clubs but the max bet per street is 100 so no nl
I live in a backwards hick state New Hampshire no way gambling casinos will ever be allowed
nice post nate!! i live in florida, if they ever really ban us from online ill be okay! there are tons and tons of casinos and indian reservations!!!
There should be no question that states are missing out on making money. We have several casino's here in AZ. they all seem to be doing very well. They are even talking about building a few more. We just had one open in Northern AZ about 3 months ago.
