Has anyone heard anything about online poker in the USA? Is we gaining progress in legalizing online gaming?
State by state, but not nationwide yet.. nevada has their own online room, Ultimate Poker. Everyone else is stuck with lock, juicy, carbon, bcp/acr, etc.
I really hope that the doj doesnt go and shutdown the ones that americans are currently playing on... that would reallllllly annoy me haha
i dont think they would bother with the sites we still have... you gotta figure they shut down the sites that had the market locked in.... its all about the casinos starting there online rooms now... which is why they are doing it state by state... and if ya notice in the couple states legalizing it at the moment you have to be attached to a live casino in some form or another
I really am hoping Michigan will follow like Nevada, I am probably just wishful thinking though...
It would be nice if the entire country got online poker
I wrote a thread about the state of online poker over a year ago. Checkitout. It sums it up to a tee and nothing has changed.
I really wish they would hurry up already, Its been over 2 years. Ridiculous if you ask me.
Right it is ridiculous they will let us plop sum $ down on theses stupid casinos..for slots all day but anything with poker they wanna stop.. Well I work for my damned $ let me decide how the heck to spend it ! #Livefreeordie
The US government better get with it soon. I am tired of finding good games and then they shut the rooms down. This has happened twice now. The US is loosing out on a lot of $$ from this. There is a way for them to get their piece of the pie it's just they want the whole damn pie. uggghhhh
ur damn right lol be like canada
we're all waiting on you now illinois! you don't even have many casinos aroudn chicago! :(
online poker should be legal by now in the united states you can play anywhere else in the world makes us look like a 3 world country
some states have it but from what i understand can only play in the casino
oh and also if i am in a casino that last thing i want to do is play online that is for home
nope still stuck in hell here in the land of the free lol what a joke
When has the us government done anything in a hurry. It will be years if this ever happens to reopen to the entire us. But online horse betting and fantasy sports for money is legal doesnt make any sense.
any update on the current bills on US poker? i\'ve looked everywhere but there seems to be no indication of when and if the bills will even be voted on
in poker news mydogs are my homies is spamming to get the 3 pts he need s to play a frreoll
I wish the whole country would have 1 or 2 sites to play on. Not state by state.
as far as i know nevada is up and running but no stars yet
cant wait for michigan to get an online casino poker palace going
with mgm being here it might happen soon
lotta money in poker
i think motercity might jump at it first
cant wait? alot of people will be in poverty if michigan have online casino.
You're just as bad as the gov't. Oh please protect us from freedom. We couldn't handle free will. Thank God we don't have access to gambling, drugs, and all other things illegal already; We'd surely all be dead and broke. Btw, a lot of people already are in poverty...

truthfully i have saved alot of money since black friday lol - so maybe we should beware of what we wish for
^^^^^^ haha! most honest man on the internet. I was talking about this the other day. For all the time on the sidelines, some of us should be writiing letters thanking the govt. for keeping money in our pockets. by the looks of my ROI, I owe Uncle Sam a couple of thank you's myself.
if the government cant tax it is a no go states that allow it are breaking federal law look at marijuana legalizing state can say yes but feds say no they arrest people for it
Follow the Poker Player's Alliance. www.theppa.org I find it informative. A membership is only $15 and the seem to be lobbying hard for poker laws at the federal level.
well if the government is shutdown isnt everything legal??? or did i just go get prostitutes guns and blow for nothing?
well the internal revenue is shut down - now that is a blessing - the country is in a mess we need poker to escape
can the healthcare website hire some of the programmers from pokerowned and get it to work
It is just a matter of time before it either makes or breaks. It has been borderline for too long and too many people enjoy playing the game.
I like the idea of having pokerowned get involved with healthcare.gov! The site would certainly get more fun.
as far as i know congress is "supposed" to reopen it by end of 2013 but that was said a long long time ago
as of now its state by state as said by other members... hopefully the process speeds up
i have come to the conclusion that we will never have sites likee full tilt and pokerstar ever again
New Jersey passed a bill to allow online gaming, comes into effect in about 3 weeks.
a skill game, not just put your quarters in the slots they could tax it if it were legal country wide
i think each state will have to do it on their own so some states may be awhile like pa i mean we just got casinos lol but it will happen eventually
