getting $300,000 dumped on you is a legal issue. The best thing you can do is try to return it, otherwise you'll be doing a lot of work to hide it from the IRS and anyone else. Plus, you wouldn't be able to buy anything nice (like a house or car) without proving that you have the income for it (which you wouldn't - legally)
honestly if i ever found that $ i would just store it hidden in my attic lol

The poker player reported the lost money and there would have definitely been an investigation. Best believe it would probably not have been recovered so easily if it was involved in illegal activity.
