Hand 1 - I think you played it fine after the flop. But I personally wouldn't play A8o with 2 people left to act. That leaves you 4 people before the flop to act after you that could have a higher ace.

Hand 2 - I don't like the way you played after the flop. You had roughly the right pot odds to call before the flop, so that was fine. However the villains bet and 3bet after the flop shows some real strength. You have a monster draw and are the favorite in the hand, but not by a large enough percentage that you should be getting all of your chips in the middle on a draw. You have a good sized stack to play with, and while this was a great flop for you, it's not good enough to want all your chips on the line for it. I think you just got lucky that he folded to the 4 bet. He almost certainly had you beat at this point in the hand.

position you played fine for A8, not a huge raise to have to worry about getting outta hand if 3 bet on ya, 2nd hand the call pre was a lil loose but you had stack for it, that was some BALLS tho you 5 betting all in, wish I could get that comfortable doing that, i might have done same since weak ass 4 bet, but knowing me prolly puss out

oh didnt see fl and str8 draw, but still he could have higher fl draw, kudos either way

This isn't anywhere close to the same situation!! First your blinds are much higher which changes the dynamics. Plus you just put in a raise to take the pot instead of a 4bet. But the biggest difference is how many outs you were had and the strength of the hand you were drawing to. You had an open ended straight draw that has outs for someone to beat you with a higher straight. Jay's hand had a straight/flush/straight flush draw. That leaves him waaaaaaaay more outs including a nut draw.
