Just seen it on the news.
I just read about is and seen some of the damage that has occurred. I hope anyone here that lives in that area is ok.
i am in brooklyn, ny and am one of the lucky ones who still has power - the subway system which is main transportation is so compremised dont know when it will be okay but if anyone needs help and this thread is available tell us and maybe we can help

Im in upstate NY, I lost power for six hours(downed tree) they cancelled school, but we were pretty lucky... FKN yard is a mess of branches though....
the devastation is breath taking and am glued to tv things will not get back to normal any time soon
hope your beautiful country will be ok
things are getting better here amazingly fast really lots of buses outside so that helps still no gas tho hopefully today

update for everyone who is interested - we are doing much better some parts of city like nothing happened we need subways to run so people can get back to work and start to feel better again
god bless every1 that was affected in this hurricane....its deff a very sensitive time for all partys.....hope all is welll

most trains are running today and schools opening just amazing considering so everyone will start feeling a sense of normalcy

We were lucky in upstate NY really. Irene was much worse for this area. Although where my mother lives in the higher elevations, about a half hour from me, they got major wind damage. She had a huge tree come down just missing the house and no power for several days.

nj here. snowed 4 inches last night
been crazy for us but in two days the temp will be in the 60;s and that will help alot

yea deff a tragic....have some friends up there any family and it wasnt good...hope all is well and hope to get things back to normal asap

thing are getting better for those of us who did not loose power or flood but so many areas of devastation
only problem is no GAS and it doesn\'t look like there will be any relief until after thanksgiving the lines are really bad and in city streets is so hard to get around because of them

a guy who works with my son in construction lost his house and has come to work last week so people trying very hard to get back to normal a paycheck is a paycheck

President needs to send troops to help with security and manpower-Build a tent city so people can be warm and feed so the clean up operations can do their job.
The Red Cross is a major disappointment where the hell are those millions going- I\'m donating to The Salvation Army have any countries sent any help
all world is still shocked
praying for all
all will be in reconstruction
