ok this Saturday which would make 8 months smoke free and going strong!! Posting now because I have to work at night..........

now it is a new day but yesterday was my 8 months, weeeee thank you all who have kept up with my thread!!
I just seen this thread nice job on that quitting smoking it's all mind over matter i was a smoker for 25 years i put them down in september of 2012 i feel alot better i added 40 pounds since i have quit and i lift couple hours a day...i didn't use anything like the patch or chantex just cold turkey the 48 hours you detox the nicotine and the next trial period is the next 2 weeks after that its all good...
3 months without a smoke, gums helped me a bit but nothing without a strong decision
Update: Today is the 14th at 2 am but yesterday marks 9 months!!! Still going strong and not one desire for a cig!!

wtg dry, very proud of ya!! wish I could do the same, been smoking way to long myself, and I need to quit as well as my husband, we have been going back and forth with it, cut way down, then way back up again. it's not an easy thing to do, so it makes me glad to see someone else do it!!!
good job and good luck it could be a bit hard but put your heart and mind into it and you'll do just fine.

I'm seven and a half months. I quit cold turkey. I had to quit drinking for a couple weeks but after that I was fine. Good Luck, you just got to want to. Sounds like you have the proper motivation.

I'm glad I don't smoke. If I did, I'd probably being smoking a cig between every loss and suckout at the table. lol Good for you for putting them down! It isn't easy. That's for sure.
