What is most affective and Efficient way of taking notes on players? How do u do it?

i abrev. pgh = plays good hands, fish atc =any 2, plh = plays alot hands i use tags too but looks like merge got rid of em

nope i just look for bets that dont make sense. i dont note it - say like a 100 bet into a 2k pot . i dont note patterns except those that raising my blinds. i dont note 3x times bet pre out of post. with a10 nah

lol this kinda reminds me of how useless mine were too, when I played cash games before black friday, all my notes would be is this idiot owes me X dollar amount. I would only do it to the ones who played horribly and won a big pot, but knew when I saw them at the tables again.

Mine are mostly negative, I'll admit, but I definitely have notes that say "if he's betting he has it" or "careful - will trap" and even "seems like a decent person" ... the last one is, of course, a social commentary for someone who isn't either a flaming asshole at the table but also isn't just passive

I'm with you - if you have player notes it's never "Is a good player" or "Nice guy". And I usually use the word "fat" somewhere in there as well.

ha, this is currently my method of choice.

I also use the chip tags on Carbon, but only for fish, tight and loose players for quick reference (fish tag, red tag, green tag)
