Seriously for tournaments no one here takes notes on blind levels and bet sizing in said blind levels ?
I dont take notes if i play with someone enough where notes would actually make a difference, I can usually remember the player... I would hate to get wrapped up into thinking some one was a bad player just because i caught them on tilt or on an off day and made a bad decision based on bad or ill informed notes
Mine are mostly negative, I'll admit, but I definitely have notes that say "if he's betting he has it" or "careful - will trap" and even "seems like a decent person" ... the last one is, of course, a social commentary for someone who isn't either a flaming asshole at the table but also isn't just passive
I take lots of notes...in the middle of something but I'll post a more thorough outline in a bit, but to sum up, I use OPR to check ABI's (to see if they are playing above or below their normal - usually a solid tell into what their style will be), and other stats, then I use color coding to differentiate players at a glance, and finally I add detailed notes about individual hands.
I can remember, especially when I focused primarily on mixed games, having notes on many players. The notes were universally negative, but vague. Then I started noticing those players were always at the FT's, so I realized my note-taking was almost pure tilt-reactions. Later, I was fortunate to learn some tips from the games bigger "balla's" at the time (pre-BF), and those served me well.
hellmuth is such a douche in that video
at the freerolls it is usually the same people or mostly the same people so i kind of know what to look for without notes
What do you look for? I look to see if they are wearing pants.
i dont take notes either, but i do tag some of the players! but i usually remember the dumb ones!!
