which hand has the best chance to beat the pocket rockets?
I think suited 7 8 can be a handful sometime
I think pair of 7 can also crack the rockets
bump
my opinion would be suited connectors cause you'll be trying to make a 5 card hand to beat them
Id never want to play a 2 outer against rockets lol as rghy said suited connectors is the hand you want to play against AA but not heads up really.
According to the numbers I believe its the connectors. 67, 78, 89.
Sooted gappers ftw.
Suited cards, because of flush possibility
nice every thing hand this poker, the poker is the best....i love the poker
I don't think there is any particular hand that is better then another. It's more about getting lucky against Aces. I have been killed so many times having pocket Aces that I get scared to even play them.
Pocket Kings. Logic would say since this is the second best hand it must have the best chance of beating Aces, but this is completely wrong. This is the WORST hand to have against pocket Aces.
No I'm pretty sure its 87s, 76s, and 65s. If they don't share a suit with one of the Aces. These have the best mathematical possibility of beating Pocket Aces at 22.87%. with a .32% chance of a tie. Problem is Aces will be betting the flops hard so its hard to get correct odds to call unless you really deep stacked and your opponent is donk, or it's a multiway hand.
Strategically, pocket 5s through 7s, since they can make straights against the Aces (that don't help the aces), and can hit a set. You will know when you are ahead on the flop, and have later streets to get the money in.
I guess if I was going to call all in knowing I'm up against aces I would prefer suited connecters between six and nine
A lot of hands can beat pocket Aces pre flop after all Aces is just a pair. Would have to agree with the answer suited connectors here as long as suit is not the same as either Ace.
10 jack suited is the best hand against AA
this is a BASIC question its suited connectors odds wise DUH
I would have to say any suited connectors, they have the better chance to hit straight or flush
but of course any two cards can easily beat aces, I mean ive lost with aces to A 2 before, anythings possible
The worst hand is A rag off, with the rag being same suit as one of the A's, but as everyone says, suited connectors 5 thru 8, think this is pretty common knowledge, have heard it on televised tourneys before, not that it is huge difference from the other suited connectors, but ones like J 10 lose a few percentage pts cause if the high straight hits (QKA), gives the A's a chance for fh. But back to quote, other pp's against AA are around 18%, A7o is under 6%
something most will fold, so ya 8-9 or t-9
9 10 suited 5 6 suited 78 suited J10 suited those are all good possibilities, other PP sometimes can outflop a set on AA
i say suited connectors like j10 of spads or kq..i assume this becuase my aces get crack with this hand alot i notice when i use to play alot online
I would say any kind of suited hand is more favorable to have a more positive outcome as per against rockets considering the hand variation combinations likely to connect wit. Ultimately one could play any two cards against AA and potentially winning the hand depending on whom your playn wit, table image, stack size etc. Best of luck as always to everyone both on and off the felts. *hugs*
Id take connectors all day against aces. If you hit a good flop you are headed straight to the bank. Some plaeys will call anything on the flop with aces
I go in for 89 suited or close to that one as well
FWIW, by the numbers, the absolute best hand to play against AA is 56s
The truth is, the numbers are pretty darn close with the hands 67s, 78s, 89s, 9Ts as well (all within .05% of each other). So you can get away with the answer, any of the above hands is the best to hold if you are up against AA (about 22.7%)
KK v AA is gonna be 20%
why would you play any hand if you knew someone had aces? but in actuality on merge you can play any two vs aa and win everytime.
stupid to suggest pockets, i'd go for 75 or 85
Any 2 cards practically. Aces are weak and get taking down a lot at these mid stakes free rolls. Gotta value shove. Flop your backdoors.
