maybe micro stakes 4 dollar buyin cash games?
or what about dollar mtts with 10 minute levels?
im just worried that i might tilt if i lose consecutively in those events, because i know my winning odds are much less in those
also what im really going for is the least amount of rake possible
I think you should grind your money in Micro cash table, whatever you prefer Holdem, Omaha and etcs.
I do also like to play 45-man turbo SNG.
But what are you good at? Cash Table, MTT or SNG?
It's depending at you.
Everyone have a different playstyle and strategy.
For me SNG is the best choice to build up your bankroll.
It depends what your best game is obviously. Personally, I would try the cash tables, but buy-in for 2 bucks, instead of 4 with that bankroll.
Yeah i think u should play the micro tbls to tht min buyin is only 1.20 just my opinion though and good luck!
Just choose types of games you are good at,,, I like single table SNG's low stakes, but they are Turbo's,,, which doesn't fit my style of play...so I don't play much,,,, how about the $1.08 double up SNG's ?
I just love cash games so i would suggest that, and then it depends on the game. When I had a low BR, I played cash Razz mainly cause I feel i have an edge there, but those double up SnG's work out well too. Do a $1 one, win a couple of those, than go to the $2 ones and so on, a little time consuming, but cake walks they are. 10 register and 5 cash, love those odds.
Play in the 10k tournament it runs daily. I t cost $22 to enter, if you do good you'll have more than $18
hey oh yes he did and i find your avatar picture offensive,i,m old an in noway look like that, shame on yu poofy for setting the bar way to high
@b112895,
i am a member of carbon poker and when im low on my bankroll i usually playthe double up sng's. U only have to finish in the top 5 out of 10 to double up. they have 1,2,3,5,10, and 20 dollar double ups. if i had $18 in my account i would try a $5 dollar one first, then go from there. they really arent that hard as long as u dont play real loose. Hope that helps... keep me posted!!!
If you going to play go aggressive that what I always do. :)
Hey b11 did you ever do anything worthwhile with that $18
I personally went with small stakes to build up my bankroll, so I would recommend doing that.
I personally went with the small cash games and it worked for me, so I would recommend that.
For a really little bit of money on merge, id actually be aggressive with it if it's from freerolls. It's hard to get paid anyways since it takes a long time to get a check so i dont see a point in br mgmt from freerolls unless you give a challenge to yourself.
worst advice ive ever read they do not help u practice at all its nuttin but a donk fest
personally id go for the 2.20 bounty sngs ten handed good way of making some cash without winning and the gameplay tends to be the most stable you can also implement abit of strategy (i.e waiting till someones almost out of chips then taking them out)
yeah i suck at bankroll managment.. i should play better...
Next time you disagree with anything I post, don't say it is worst advice ever.
So your advice is to play the $2.20 bounty sng's, well lets assume this particular player is not used to playing these types of games. This means that he/she has enough money to play 8 buy ins. You have to step out of your playing or your supposed playing skills and assume you are going to help someone who is asking for help and advice, and their BR is $18.
So my advice is playing bee's because for 1 they are not crushing your BR and their have been a ton of us who used the bee's as a start to moving up to bigger buy in games.
As most people who know me here I am not going to sit and have a battle of words with someone but I do respond when someone is going to say what I post is worst advice ever.
nice sounds like a good one don... i will have to try it..
Bee's are great but with $18 his best bet is the Dollar Dazzlers(or mix it up with Bee's and Dazzlers)..... If he drops below $10 stick to just bee's until he reaches $11.10 It kinda like algebra ;) Let your roll dictate which game you play and be very strict in that! On a side note: If you lose $10 playing bee's you obviously need to work on your game..
my advice is save your cash till you get about 50$ in your bank so you have more options
its like this. like everyone else said play the game ur most comfordable/good with/at, and just dont put more than 5% of your bankroll on any one cash game/tourney etc. now asuming u dont completely suck you will prolly never totally bust.......now only if i could follow my own advise
I my bankroll goes up and down I just have goos sessions and bad ones.....been showing a small profit each day but need to find a little more consistency
Try to get as much as u can with it. Play to win the most you can.
have just lost and almost build again an 30$-bankroll here. sometimes no any bankroll management would'nt help ya, then you constantly lose 70/30 ;)
i like playing the double up sngs because all you need to do is double up and sit there until u have AA or KK and its practically free money
well good rule of thumb for cash tables is never sit w/ more than 5% of your roll on any one table, And if you get up to 10% or more on a table get up and restart a new table. If you do this and play good poker, u should be fine. I don't play cash. I prefer SnG on merge as well. GL to you.
Just do with what you feel your good at bro! I dont believe in that bankroll management go for it all!!
yes i need to manage mine better too.... i hope i do good this year
hello all
lost 2x16$ on a stars..god damn..HU's bad...never play em'
