I won a Wii and 4 remotes and several games free and clear from a survey site several months before I joined PO, it is not a hardcore gamer system imo, however it is a great device for several uses including family games, netflix and yeah a lot of the sports games are basically exorcize. I wouldn't play Gran Turismo on it tho..
There are plenty of games on the Wii that are good. WiiSports. The Mario games. Super Smash Bros. (Brawl). Donkey Kong Country Returns. Just to name a few. Not to mention, the ability to download pretty much any Nintendo based game worth playing if you connect your Wii to the internet. I have multiple SNES and N64 games on my Wii. :p
The wii is a good console but the graphics no much :/, to my the best game of this is Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 and Mario Kart! :D, The wii sport is enternaiment xD

I was never impressed with the Wii. very cheap technology
