The biggest thing I stress in sports betting is you can't always think you know it all. In sports, you can't ever be sure. There are no guarantees. Sports books have the lines at what they are for a reason. If they didn't make the right lines based on what they know, they wouldn't be in business. Because sports can be so unpredictable, you have to pick apart the lines as to what is most confident while still being most profitable- which unfortunately is one of the hardest things to do. I know plenty of members on here who love placing low limit bets (Between $1 and $5) on huge parlays (7,8,9 teamers) Where if you hit it's a huge pay day, but some need to come to realization that all it is, is a long shot. You're looking at a maybe 200-400 dollar hit on normal odds on big parlays like that. Chances are you'll hit finally and still not break even. A major don't is to bet on your favorite team. I am so guilty of this. Yes, you know everything about that team, and even though you're confident they'll get the W, your mind thinks they'll win no matter what the circumstances are. Don't be afraid to bet the heavy favorites, especially in a parlay. Yes, you must bet big to gain very little, but slowly, but surely that little will add up. Lastly, don't just wing it. There are so many hidden truths out there when you actually take the time to research alittle about what you're about to spend your money on. Good luck!
