Anyone looking to make $$$ this saturday? California Chrome is gonna be a heavy favorite at about 1/5. Since his time in the derby was so horrible and his BUYER NUMBER was listed as only a 97. I think I smell some money.... Although, the winner of the derby wins the preakness like %45 of the time so. Throwing money away IDK... but i sure as hell aint bettin the favorite.
The big way to make money with this is do a few exactas with him and 3-4 10:1 shots (no reason to even box it). Not gonna clean up on a -500 bet.
Yeah probobly do a few boxes . and just hope chrome doesnt show up.tri boxes just seem so out there. I'll agree with a few exacta boxes $10 a pop and try and pick out a wire to wire hopeful to slow down the pace at another $20 to win. Total bet around $60
FYI if you like him, he's only -150 on BCP to win the Preakness (and +235 to win the triple crown). That number is only gonna get worse as the week goes on, I'd jump on it now.
U get the horses odds as they are at post time not when u bet it.
Because he's not gonna be -150 at post time - he'll be closer to -300 or higher.
i not betting on chrome i think he loses the preakness but wins the next triple crown event
