poker is a brutal game why do we play?

cause we want to beg for stakes. duuuuuhh
and say that we made so and so X amount of dollars
i cant think of any other reason that could slightly apply

Poker is a brutal game. Not only do you have to be tough mentally but also physically. I think it is probably a lot harder than it looks to sit at a poker table for 16hrs/day over several days which is the case with many major tournaments. I think it's thrill of the win and for people that are good at poker the knowing they can beat a game by figuring out the people in it.
