AA...sometimes.
For example, tonight I'm running card dead - there are 11 players left-bubble time- and I'm in the BB with AA.
I raise 4 times the BB, about 1/3 of my chips - a player calls. Flop is K,7,2 and I'm feeling like king of the table and go all-in, damn the consequences...until the other player turns over 77 and my head turns into a giant sucker...
So yeah, AA donks me sometimes.
my son donks me, when he comes home with no homework..............
AA is king, if yu get donked your stilll have a proud sense
People raising 1/3 of their stack instead of just shoving for balance.
all-in pre! then I could BE a donk!

If you don't understand why what you did is bad, then you are beyond helping. Just based on how you played this hand I can spot several leaks in your game. Hope to see you at the tables.
tta, relax. he entire point WAS that I played like a donk. Yes Mr Obvious, I should have gone all-in pre and he might have folded right there.

First off, your OP does not communicate that, and had I known that my post would have been completely different because I have been on a mission to try to increase the level of hand analysis on this forum. So I sincerely apologize (a true rarity on the internet).
The misinterpretation was caused by your use of donk. I have never heard anyone use it like this and figured you were using it interchangeably with tilts, especially given the section you posted in. Once again, my bad. Would you like me to explain what I meant by shoving for balance?
That's a good idea (increase the level of hand analysis on this forum) and no need for apology - i was just trying to say that seeing AA after a long dry spell of poor hands instantly turned me into a donk - and it showed throughout the entire hand, as you noted.
Methinks I need to be clearer in my posts!
If you would like to help with that, I posted a thread in the "Cash and Tourney Discussion" section that I am trying to build big enough to gain the attention of the mods so that they will create a special section for Hand Analysis Only because the Cash and Tourney Discussion is filled with like 95% garbage that is not even related to playing poker. Feel free to post any hands in there.

cough cough dont wanna mention any names but I was just at po ft and had kk I shove 10k blinds are 750/1500 Im short stack at the table bb calls me with A2 and flops a 2 and turns a 2 ....yea that gets under my skin...Im not shoving ft with j7 or k9 um...HELLO.
i hate when people bitch about donks....without donks there would be alot less money to be made at the tables....donks will catch cards but more than likely you will beat them if youre good enough.
I like your idea. Their is another forum that does actual hand analysis, like live replays of a hand. PM Zab with your idea and see if this is something we can get started.Quote:

7BBs u should probly be shoving a WIDE range of hands, K9 included n possibly even J7. Theres sumtin called "unexploitable shove charts" that i think ALOT of players on this site could benefit from. But then theyd havta read up on "M" n "ICM" n shortstack play n a whole lot of other stuff so i doubt many will do it. For those tired of bubbling or min-cashing or not winning tourneys tho i suggest looking that stuff up.Quote:

yeah, i tried looking after i posted that n couldnt seem to find any, ill hafta think about copying the one ive got next to my comp n put on here for ppl thatre interested.
only time you go all in with AA is if youre low stacked or deep in a tournament and trying to drive the stake.....otherwise proceed with caution.....especially online and extremely cautious at Merge where the tendency seems to be they dont hold up very often!!
