just lost 7 times today with AA on pokerstars....is that fucking believeble???
that used to be me with kings, then I found out I was playing them wrong....
yes if you multi table. If you don't still believable :(
i dunno, depends on how you played them... like right as this popped up saying you made this thread I just won with pocket aces in this poker maximus tourney I'm in
sorry but there is no such thing "playing them wrong",.... it doesnt matter if u slow play or raise or shove all in, the FACT is that they just dont beat the other hands, it isnt the way i play them that will change the cards that come on table, almost always some lucky tard hits a no less tard set, mostly on river, im starting do get little psycho with it, starting to run into little panic everytime i get them.... now i will adopt the politic "Fold them pre-flop" , i just dont wanna get in trouble anymore Attachment 940
what kind of comment was that????Attachment 941
yeah you can play them wrong... if your trying to slow play them and limp in along with half the table then you greatly increase the chances that someone is gonna hit flop and beat you or give them draws, and if your not able to bet them off the draws because your still trying to slow roll them then that further increases your chances of getting beat. Your right you might be able to change the cards that come on the flop, but there is definitely stuff you can do to try and prevent those weak hands from seeing the flop in the first place
apparently u didnt read my post before answering........=/..........i said IT DOESNT MATTER THE WAY I PLAY THEM SLOW PLAY OR SHOVING ALL IN i always get unlucky,
the last one i played for example, i was SB, everyone folds except BB, i only called BB 200, guy raises to 400, i call, flop comes 6, 10, 2 , guy shoves all in(and he was a joker with 7/2 all game) i called, turn 8, river Q, guy shows 6/6......happy?
Never fold'em. That's no hold'em :D Post flop play with them is the reason why people lose. You must try to play them like you have for example 9 10. Pay attention to other players how they act, bet... People seem to get out of focus that when they hold the nuts, happened to me numerous times :)
whoa calm down... yes I did read what you wrote, but I took it as you saying there is no wrong way to play them, not no matter how you play them your getting outdrawn. Especially since you said and I quote "sorry but there is no such thing "playing them wrong"". If someone flops a set there's nothing you can do about that, that's just poker.
I lose with aa all the time and kk.
There is absolutely such a thing as playing a hand wrong.
Losing with AA a few times in a row? That's part of poker. I've seen players lose 20+ times in a row holding AA.
If you are losing with AA more than you should over a large sample size, then yes you are playing them wrong in certain situations.
they dont win in merge tho in real poker at tables it is a shoe in mostly
90% i win with AA.
How many times did you win with them? If you can't win with AA then maybe you should just quit playing.
Tere is no worng way to play AA other than to not bet them and lose value. The professor likes getting as many people in as possible which means when he hits his set, nut flush etc he will make wayyyyyy more money then if he bets big pre flop and chases all but one away. That being said - yes u will win more HU but win less money. So there really isnt a proper way to play them unless weird circumstnces come up like ur short stacked as shet and near the bubble or other. comes down to style/preferance in a normal situation. Go big go HU or slow play them (still betting but smaller) and try to win a huge pot. Odds are with you either wayyyyyy - ur ahead pf.
One other thing abour slow playing thm AA's - if your good u can tell when their beat and fold ur 1 pair. i.e. flop and turn are not ur suit and ur into an all in turn bet - u might call if ur a red neck. If the board is 789 10 - and u face a huge over the top bet - yes u may call with 1 pair if ur a red kneck etc... Playing huge bets fast takes that way from you. some tourneys are call station tourneys and it makes sense to take a look with half ur stack instead of all of it.
Ok, so u lost w/em with em 7 times, how many times did u have em?
How is not possible to play Kings wrong? There is something called overplaying or underplaying them. And in poker thats that difference between how good you play them and making mistakes with them.
Damn 7 times that happens sometimes. I used to lose with KK everyhand but haven't had that bad luck in awhile. I hope your AA is holding up nowadays mann. GL at the felt.
yeah... your not gonna win 100% of the time with pocket aces, the best you can try to do is maximize profits when your ahead, and minimize damage when your behind
You need to quit slow playing Aces. If you slow play Aces you will lose 9 out of 10 times. Shove preflop is the best way to play Aces.
aces r a tad lame imo. AKs has more equity all in pre vs 76s
lol... you really should go back and find the hand history, cause if you can post that then you could get a lot more helpful info back and maybe figure out why you lost those hands.. yeah having a smaller pocket pair flop a set against you is unlucky, but I'm 100% positive that didn't happen every time, so you could get a lot of helpful info back about your other losses which could help improve your game
Thanks bro, and to the OP: I heard there is a new thread in the "Cash and Tourney Discussion" section for this.
u play to much poker lol still dont trust AA or KK
depends on blinds and who at table i prefer to see flop before shoving too much
of course you can play them wrong, personally if you play on stars your going to see way more hands than on other sites and as a result will see aces get beaten many more times just because of the donk factor the key is knowing when to fold the advantage of slow playing means that you can see the flop...if you have 2 black aces and three hearts drop its safe to say folding would be an option... to carry on betting would be virtual suicide
I have lose 13 times with AK but have won more with AA, so have lose less with it.
