I just think it's a disincentive to play later games if I, say, finish high in the 1:00 game that my opponent doesn't play in. Why would I risk that high placing by playing in a later game and getting knocked out early?

I guess that's part of the strategy. I honestly don't think people are gonna change their schedule because of this promotion, unless it was the finals and there was a lot of pts at stake.

And the more I think about it, the more I think people who can't make the first game (1:00 ET) would be at a severe disadvantage.
